Hi, thank you so far for this great plug-in! I'm wondering if I should set up a child theme (I'm using the Orsay theme at the moment). I've heard that a child theme should be used if you don't want any changes that you've made to go away after updating your theme. So is it necessary that I use a child theme, or will all the changes I make to my website with your tool still be there after updating even without using one?
Using child theme you can make theme changes which won't get overridden after you update your theme. But Yellow Pencil has nothing to with theme update, and all the changes you make will remain after theme updates. So you can use our plugin, and all changes will be saved after you update the theme.
Also it's advised to use child theme if you want to make changes in your theme (actually change theme files). But again, making those changes has nothing to do with Yellow Pencil, and all changes will be saved after theme update or theme files changes.
