I checked my website after not changing anything for months and found some formatting issues on the buttons ie they were mostly changed to a rounded look! I checked Word press which says there is a new version of yellow pencil. I thought it may be because the yellow pencil was not updated. I checked but cannot find the latest update. How do i get this and could it solve the formatting issues?
Have you updated the theme or some plugin? Or perhaps they auto-updated? It could be that classes or ID's are changed within theme or plugin so YP targets old ones you defined while new ones are rendered.
If you're using any caching plugin it could be that you're just simply cached?
I tried to download the plugin from Envato /codecanyon but when I deactivated yellow pencil plugin and uploaded this one I got this message. Now I have no YP plugin and the site is a mess!

Thanks David it worked but only after I deleted the original plugin rather than deactivating it. A little worrying that I would loose all the formatting though!

Okay. You can download the plugin but this time click Download installable files. Then you will get installation zip file.
File you're uploading contains documentation and other files.
