I am trying to use the plugin "Theme-switcha" to enable users to toggle between child themes. I built the pages in Elementor, and did further styling through Yellow Pencil - the parent theme is the Hello Elementor theme, and I have 2 child themes at the moment. The problem is I cannot figure out how I'm supposed to edit one child theme without affecting the other. Maybe I'm doing something wrong with the theme switcher? But so far hitting "Edit with Yellow Pencil" has affected BOTH child themes. I will try to do a quick test before I get off the PC for the night to see if disabling the theme-switcher and turning it back on after editing will take care of that, but in case it doesn't I wanted to put in a ticket to see if there's anything I'm obviously doing wrong.
I don't think you can have two child themes.... You can have one active child theme, and you can have other inactive child themes. You're basically editing active theme, child or parent.
Yep, that turns out to be the case! I've switched to adding a second elementor-friendly theme and pulling a child theme off of that one to use with my theme-switcher. Thanks!
Glad that worked :)
I’ll be closing this Ticket. Feel free to open a New ticket in case something else comes up.
