Getting Critical Page Error after a few uses

I was repeatedly getting "a critical error has occurred on this page" after using Yellow Pencil. Not every time I used it, but randomly after using it 2 or 3 times over the span of a few days. I'm pretty sure it was Yellow Pencil Causing the problem.

Twice now I have stopped using it for a week or two and had no more critical error issues. Once I started using yellow pencil again the errors came back. So instead I have been limping through with browser developer tools, so much more tedious and time consuming than YP. I think I have developed a dependency or an addiction to to its ease of use.

I was wondering if maybe setting it to static might help? I know it is a beta feature, but that is all I can think to try. I don't think it is any of my plugins, but you never know. I recently overhauled my plugins and many of the ones that were originally installed have been replaced with better options.

Do you have a list, perhaps, of known plugin incompatibilities?

Maybe you have some insight. Needless to say after it happened a couple of times I began routinely running scheduled backups twice a day and keep 4 backs always on hand. Its been over a month now and I would really like to be able to use it again.

    With Gratitude,

    Hey there,

    1. It could be conflicting with some of the plugins

    2. Or it could be that WP_MEMORY_LIMIT needs to be  increased. You can contact your host to help you with that.

And don't forget to rate our plugin, it means a lot to us!

    David,

Seeing as how I don't have a problem until after I have used it several times, I think you might be onto something with regards to memory limits. I'll contact my provider and see what we can do.

I'll let you know how it goes. If it doesn't work I'm not sure about the plugins. It would be a lengthy job. Seeing as how it is a random type error. I don't want to disable my security plugins for any length of time, but I will see what I can do

Thanks for giving me some ideas to try, I alway appreciate how prompt and helpful you are.

    Sincerely,

    Joella
