I can't seem to be able to change the navigation text hover-color. I also have Genesis Design Palette Pro, so I don't know if both plugins are in conflict? I can change the default links in DPP, and I can change the default navigation color in Yellow Pencil, but don't have as I said, control over the hover editing.
I have clicked on the mini-menu for each element and made sure to select 'hover' mode before editing but still...
Also, text editing seems to be affecting the entire navigation instead of each menu item separately?

First please be sure how "hover" selector working.
Mouseover styles will not work in Yellow Pencil editor. You must set "hover" mode for see hover styles. Save changes and close editor for test mouseover styles live in your website.
I think plugin documentation will answers your all qustions. Its 5mins to read. Please read documentation for use this plugin ideally.
